Loire Valley Time Travel is a specialist provider of tours of the Loire Valley and surrounding areas.

If you are visiting Paris for a week or two, book a day trip away from the big city bustle and experience the heart of France. We know there is enough to see in Paris to keep you busy for the rest of your life, but Paris is only one aspect of France. The city of Tours is only one hour from Paris by train, but the gateway to a completely different world.

We can also help if you want to stay in the Loire area, but don't wish to drive. There are many hotels, gîtes, châteaux and chambres d'hôtes providing accommodation for all budgets. Book for a week and we will meet you at the railway station or airport. We can take you to see artisans, producers and attractions for part of your stay, leaving the rest of your time for cycling, walking or just relaxing in the quiet countryside.

We carefully chose the car we use for the tours - Célestine is a "rescue" car, found in a field and restored to better than new condition. All the manufacturing environmental dues were recovered many years ago, and she uses less fuel than many modern luxury cars. Likewise, our office is in a rescue building: an 800 year old grain store, neglected and decaying until we started restoration; now it is re-roofed, insulated, and heated using locally grown sustainable wood. Even most of our office equipment is rescued, and we grow our own fruit and vegetables.

When we visit restaurants we look for those which use local produce. It makes both ecological and economical sense, especially as the local produce is so good: and of course, being in the Loire Valley we are at the centre of a great wine area so there is no need to look further afield.
